First Swim Meet

So, tonight was the big swim meet against a Korean team. Our team was so nervous, because they just knew that the Korean team would be faster.....they were, but our kids gave it their all and it was great training for them. They really need to learn how to work as a team and to push themselves a little. Of course, the Korean team has different training rules. They all stretched together, swam laps together, and then sat with a towel wrapped around their shoulders together. This is hardly an Olympic team, but I was a little intimidated! Our team may not be as polished, but we had much more fun!

Still Little

Last night we had some friends over to play cards and the kids were in the back watching movies, playing games, and having a good time. Well, my little man was watching a movie and just couldn't keep up. He is almost 8, but he still seems so small sometimes. He grabbed his favorite things and gave into the sleep monster!

New Quilt

With the help of my friend's mom, who has a very awesome quilting business, Karen's Quilting Service, I just finished my second quilt! I am so happy with this one. I love the colors, the style, everything! I just wanted to share!

TGIFreakin'F

WOW! What a week. I'm so exhausted that I can barely think about putting on my PJs. It is 8:21 PM and I know that I will be out very soon. After this week, I am pretty sure that I will never go back to work! I need to be kept or win the lottery or my husband needs a second job! I'm sure that you get used to working, but I don't know. I'm pretty happy doing my own thing at home, on my own time and schedule. Anyone else agree with me? Enjoy your weekend!

Working

I teach English at a Korean military academy. It isn't bad or difficult. The cadets are in their early 20s and very smart and respectful. Right now they are in between sememsters and the cadets that need a little extra help with English are in intensive training, which is 7 days. So, I signed up to teach everyday. I leave the house at 7:00, commute with some other teachers for 1 hour, begin teaching at 8:30, and finish at noon. I am home by 1:00 PM. Not that difficult and I make about $35/hour. Really not that bad, but it is everyday people! I am tired. Whoever thought of the bright idea of actually working everyday needs to be punished! It is torture! I have 2 more days this week and 2 days next week, then I will go back to teaching 1 day per week, much more civilized! I'm sure that I will be much happier after it is over and I get paid! I just needed to vent, thanks for listening!

New Army Bag

This is my newest addition to my growing bag collection. This bag was made by my friend, who is very talented and is a designer. The bags are made from old military uniforms and you pick out the coordinating fabric. Her business blog is listed under my favorites, Reannalily Designs. Check her out!
