Tub Drama

Okay, when this photo was taken, we were at about the 30 day mark. One month before we vacate the glorious country of Korea! We had been having some trouble with our tub draining slow. We called in a work order and we were told, "old pipes". Okay. All I'm thinking is, "please make it 30 days." As you can guess, we didn't make it. This particular week was very stressful. I was in charge of the last spouse social, my husband's name was on a short list of people for a job in Seoul, (not a happy moment), because our van has already been shipped and my mind is focused on moving............30 days people! I cannot shift gears like that. I was saying, "sorry that you will be in Seoul alone. Love you!" So, back to the tub and stressful week. On the evening of the spouse social, I came home, tired and stepped into our linen closet. This closet would be on the wall with the faucet. I stepped into water! Not such a happy moment. There was some profanity. So, I called on Friday, the workmen came out Friday afternoon. They brought out the big snake machine and went in! After much drilling I was informed that they would be back on Monday. "Come back Monday. Put hole in wall. Maybe take tub." *@!$**!!!! Keep in mind that we still haven't heard about what will happen with the job in Seoul. The workmen said, "don't use tub, not draining." No S**T! After much deep breathing, I collected my thoughts. I moved all of the bath items into our other bathroom that has a stand up shower and closed the other bathroom door until Monday.

I had to work on Monday, so Glenn stayed home to supervise the tub. I wasn't sure what I was going to come home to on Monday afternoon. Thankfully, they were able to save the tub, at least for another 23 days! There was no hole in the wall and the tub was in tacked and draining perfect! All was well.

PS The job in Seoul was not approved by Glenn's human resource people in DC. YEAH! So, we are back on track.
