Waiting to move...

It is that time of year that the military families wait anxiously to find out where they are moving to next. Wanting to call the "manager of all jobs" everyday, but knowing if you did that you might get sent to someplace "exotic" that you never would have thought of. So, we resist the urge to call, not wanting to go someplace "exotic" and hope that the "manager of all jobs" understood the last conversation of your wants and desires. Hoping that nothing was lost in translation, hoping for the best. I would not want the "manager of all jobs" job; too stressful knowing that you have so many military families lives' in your hands. Anyway, so we wait and wait and wait some more................hoping. So my hubby comes in this morning all eager and excited, it was way too early in the morning for anything exciting! My brain was not awake at 6:00 AM. So he says, "I just talked to branch." (branch is the "manager of all jobs") There was silence, because my brain was still asleep, especially for news like that. I tried to focus and listen. Branch says, "do you want to go to 1st CAV?" (That is 1st Calvary Division - Ft. Hood, TX) Hubby says, "yes." Surely it is not that easy people! There are good and bad things associated with Ft. Hood, TX. First, we would be close to my family. We've been to Ft. Hood before and we really liked it there. Good things. Okay, so not so good things. That means a play date in the big sandbox. But that is part of being in the Army. So, it looks like Ft. Hood, TX is in our future.
Now, also bad things about moving. My Ya-Ya's. It crushes my heart to think that in 5 months, the Ya-Ya's will be torn apart in all directions, especially one Ya-Ya who will still be in Korea. But we will have to live through email, photos, and blogs. We will make the most of our 5 months and treasure every moment that we have left. Knowing that somewhere, somehow there will be a Ya-Ya reunion! Look out America! Here we come!

Oh man...you're the first of the Ya-Ya's to get an assignment. We have 5 more months to laugh and cry and be there for one another. We'll make the most of it. I gotta tell ya, even though we should be finding out soon where we're headed to next, I'm still sad.
Love ya my sis!!!

You're not going there until the orders are in your hands!!! But Texas is pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. ~jen~
