So my brother left for Germany about two weeks ago and I'm not jealous at all! NOT! I wanted to go too!!!! They are going to have a blast. So, the weekend that he left my aunt hosted a going away party, which was great! We were also there to help my brother and his family get to the airport and maneuver through the airport. No small task people!

Here is my little man with my nephew and niece. They were so excited to get on a plane for the first time!
So, no small task, I mentioned that above. So you ask, what does it take to get a family of 6 and a dog to Germany? It takes, three vehicles, 6 adults, 6 children, 1 large pet carrier, 1 very nervous dog, 1 car seat, 1 Pack n' Play, 16 pieces of luggage, and various carry ons! WHEW! It all happened so fast, looking back. I know that my brother and his family were very relieved to get their stuff turned in and just sit back on the plane! I truly know that feeling.

My sis-in-law standing with their luggage!

This is the hard part..............saying good-bye. This is my mom, grandma, saying good-bye to my niece.

One last wave good-bye................he made it through security! Auf Wiedersehen!!! (that is good-by in German). "See you in 2010!!"

Wow three posts!! :) Sorry about you having to say goodbye to your brother and his family. Even Sorrier that your hubby is on his way to play in the sand. You are the first of us to be going through it. Jen and I will be there for you no matter what. Just remember that you've got some sistas out here who love you to pieces!!!

I totally remember that!! It will NOT be that way coming back!!! Maybe you can go visit them in Germany?? That would be a great time.
We are planning a trip to see them in 2010. Can't wait. We are even trying to make that our next duty station.
Love my sistas. Three peas in a pod!
