Easter

I know what you are thinking.........Easter??? When was Easter??? I know! I know! My life has been so crazy busy lately I really don't know what direction I should be going! When is summer vacation???? This year I am more ready than anything for summer vacation!

Well, here are the kids decorating some eggs. This was a big year. My oldest, Sarah, asked the "BIG" question. "Are you the Easter Bunny?"
"Quick, brain, think, think." Is what I was saying in my head as I turned away, because I just couldn't wipe the smile off of my face. I quickly thought of when I found out about Santa, the Easter Bunny, etc., I was about her age. So, she and I discussed it all.


She asked "why?" Wow, well, I told her, "Certain holidays are magically and exciting and parents enjoy making those extra special for their kids, so we pretend to be Santa and the Easter Bunny." She understood. I then went on to say, "Now, your brother still believes. If you ruin the magic and excitement for him, then the Easter Bunny and Santa won't come and see YOU!" She quickly understood language.

Kind of sad for mommy, because my babies are growing up. But the Easter Bunny and Santa will continue to show up and I hope that now that she knows, she will appreciate the magic even more and continue the traditions that we've created with her family.
