Send Off Party!

I guess this should have come first, but I just didn't get around to it! Life gets so crazy! We really should be in better control of it. If someone has figured out how to do that, please let me know!

Before Glenn's departure, we hosted a gathering of family a friends. We wanted to let Glenn know that he was important and what he was going to do was important, even if we all don't agree with why we are in that part of the world. What is important is support for the soldiers. They take orders from a higher chain. They fight for our rights and what America stands for.

So, we had a luncheon with about 25 people. And I know that Glenn was truly humbled by the presence of so many people and the time they took away from their day. Family is so important to him and being surrounded by family was what it was all about.

Shiner was represented! (Sorry Jen that you couldn't make it, but there is some left over for you!)

Glenn received some farewell gifts. This was a couple season of Monk. He will be working, but there will be a lot of down time too!

This is Glenn and my momma!

This is my aunt, who brought a basket of patriotic reading and snacks!

That is my aunt!

This is my aunt, my uncle and my cousin. (Glenn was saying a couple of things.)

This is a high school buddy, (I won't say how long ago high school was!), she came up from Austin.

This is my 2nd cousin! (Go Sooners!) We had a fun weekend. My mom and her drove down from OK and stayed for the weekend.

Then the real fun began! Glenn gave rides on the Harley! This is my 2nd cousin. Doesn't she look like a professional rider!

Here is my other aunt! She loved it! Look out Del, I see a motorcycle in your (her) future!
