It is Always Something!

So, it was a beautiful Saturday evening and the kids were outside having a great time. Sarah decides she would like to sit on Daddy's tailgate, which she loves to do. No big deal. Then she comes inside and said, "Mommy, you should see this outside." Yes, my curiosity level is now at high. She just points to Daddy's tailgate. "WOW!", I say. Sarah goes on to tell me that this is new and I don't know how it got there.

So, I call the police to file a vandalism report and hope for the best. By the time the police officer arrived, over an hour had past, which is no big deal, because it wasn't an emergency at all, but I wanted to get it on record. By this time the sun had set and it was dark. Let me also say that I watch too many scary movies. My mind had already begun to play tricks with me. "Someone was outside your house causing damage to your property Leigh." After the police officer left, I called our security company and had our alarm system tested. It took me forever to fall asleep!

I emailed Glenn and asked, "Please tell me that this was on your truck before you left!" Yup...you know that answer........."No, it wasn't." Anyway, so off we go for an estimate...$538.00! Our deductible is $250, but that is $250 that I hadn't planned on spending! It was probably kids just messing around, but the tailgate wasn't even locked! That just irritates me to no end!
