A Shock!!

Let me preface that I really do love my animals, except right now.

You ask, why? Why would you say that? Let us recap the day. It was Tuesday and Sarah's new bed was going to be delivered sometime between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM! Kind of messed up my day, but it was a perfect time to strip the beds and get some laundry done. I was home ALL day with my (Glenn's) beloved dog.

She had been out, we shared some moments throughout the day. But mostly she slept the day away on the couch! The kids came home from school, Daisy went outside with Sarah, normal day. Then it came time to go to soccer practice. I thought that I might take Daisy, but I don't know why I didn't, I just didn't. We were gone just over an hour.

I walked in the kitchen, where I can see through to the den, and I said to myself, "why are my curtains over the chair?" Hmmmmmmmmmmm. As I walk closer, I find some mysterious objects on the floor. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Then I discovered why my curtains (the beautiful sheer material that I got at a very good price in KOREA, that I can't get here in AMERICA). Yes, Daisy chewed off an entire corner of my sheers! This was after she ate all of the cat food, and chewed off an handle on a Ikea shopping bag. She then proceeded to throw it up!

As you can see, there is a very big piece gone! It is all on the floor, along with the blue Ikea handle.

Glenn.............YOUR dog misses you!
Thankfully, because I buy in bulk, I have additional panels.
After I discovered this, I was trying to get the kids fed. We were making individual pizzas. I was shaking the pizza sauce bottle to begin making the pizzas when I discovered that the lid was not on all of the way. I just stood there...........numb...........on the edge..............there was a lump in my throat and my eyes were swelling with Niagara Falls. My Sarah rushed in and said, "you need a break, just go sit down, I will clean this up." She cleaned it all up, made the pizzas and cleaned up my curtains.
I proceeded to call a Ya-Ya and cry. Thanks Ya-Ya!
So, today, I had a doctors appointment and a couple of short errands. I was home by 10:30 AM. Daisy had chewed the pink pom-pom fringe off of a pillow that I made for Sarah's bed! She was promptly beat with the pillow. I regrouped, talked to my Ya-Ya and had some lunch. After lunch, Daisy and I went for a little walk. (don't worry, I didn't leave her anywhere. She is microchiped). I walked her little tootsies off! She was begging to go home. When we got home, I work in the yard, where she sat in the garage, panting and panting!
I wonder if she will chew anything tomorrow? We are going to visit grandma in a few weeks. When Daisy was trying to make up to me, I told her, "I will leave you at grandma's house. Don't think I won't!" She has a few weeks to redeem herself. More to follow...............

Bummer!! Maybe she was having a bad day and missing the Pack Leader. LOL My heart goes out to you. I am happy though that my daughter stepped up, realizing she was needed. :) I love you.

I'm sorry you had a terrible day, and so proud of little Sarah coming to the rescue. This goes to show that deployment is hard for every member of the family. My prayers and love are with you.
