Soccer 2009!

So, soccer season has started. When the kids first started playing, I will never forget what one of the coaches said, "Soccer is an all-weather sport." Let me just say that it was very cold this February morn. Most of the kids were not prepared for the bitter wind that blew across the field. It wasn't that windy anywhere else in the city...........just the soccer field!

The Big Man (in the middle) is playing defense..........he doesn't like it at all, because there is no action. He wants the ball! We have a very young coach, 17. I admire his effort, but I'm not sure that this is just a bullet on the college application. Ya know! But as you can imagine, Mamma Bear is close by and taking notes!

Ryan was a little more prepared for the cold than his team mate who was shivering in the back!

Sarah also plays offense. It doesn't really matter to her!
